“We Will Miss The Water”

White Oak
Dimensions: 134″ x 33″ x 4″

Artist’s Statement: I created this sculpture to remind people to think about how precious water is. The evaporated waterdrop shows water disappearing because we are in the middle of this crisis and if we don’t care for the water it will disappear. All life including mother earth is dependent on water. It is up to us to take care of our planet and water sources and also to make sure that everyone has free access to clean water. It is up to us to ensure that it will exist for future generations.

The balls I carved are balls of thoughts. The balls above are good intentions for the team of sculptors and the support team who made the festival possible. The balls in the crack represent us all and what we could leave our future generations if we do not take care.
